Love, Serve, Give, on Tuesday

These are the three key words within the value statement of Life West. They’re a far cry from the commercialism and consumerism of the holiday season so rampant in today’s society. There is another choice. In response to the Black Friday and Cyber Monday days of chaotic, frenzied buying, some non-profit organizations have decided to help create a shift in consciousness by establishing ‘Giving Tuesday.’ On Tuesday, December 1st, we encourage you to think about the Life West values and how you can manifest them around you in the world on that day and throughout the year. What can you do to Love, Serve, and Give back to your community, friends, and college?

One of our alumni, Dr. Caren Cole, and husband Emil Gluekler, gave back to Life West with a planned estate gift. Dr. Cole told us, “Chiropractic has given me such a truly rich and rewarding life, that I wanted to give back. This is consistent with ideals of Life West’s vision of Love, Serve and Give.” Now, as charter members in the planned giving program called Circle of Life, Dr. Cole and Emil serve as inspiration to leave a lasting legacy to Life West and help assure the future of chiropractic. Circle of Life will officially launch in early 2016 and we invite you to consider thinking of Life West during your estate planning. Also look for informational seminars coming in 2016 on how to plan your own estates to protect your family, business and increase your tax advantages. It’s never too early or late to do this. For more information, please contact Dr. Mark Zeigler, Director of Institutional Advancement at +1 (510) 780-4500, ext ext 2400 or mzeigler@lifewest.edu.

Have a wonderful holiday season and a joyful Giving Tuesday!
