Life Chiropractic College West at California Jam: The Love Tour

Life Chiropractic College West celebrated the chiropractic profession at California Jam: The Love Tour, the weekend of February 24th, 2017. Cal Jam founder, Dr. Billy DeMoss’, vision was to create an event that combined TED talks with a rock and roll show. His main goal was to provide a fun platform to present attendees with sustainable health research and information.

Cal Jam is an event that Life West always looks forward to. This years’ event featured many amazing speakers, such as Robert F. Kennedy, Heidi Haavik, Brad Glowaki, and David Wolfe.

Life West hosted an event booth and also hosted an Alumni + Friends Luncheon that proved to be extremely successful. The excitement and energy that flowed through the booth was phenomenal. The Life West booth was consistently swarmed, as Life West alumni, friends of the college, and vendors who have worked with Life West for years, reunited once again.

The Life West hosted Alumni + Friends Luncheon was prepared to seat 180 guests. The on-site Life West team accommodated 192 guests by pulling in bar stools and standing tables to serve all of Life West’s alumni and friends. It was the greatest alumni turnout in Life West history. Along with many other celebrations, Life West welcomed a large number of new President’s Circle members – an exciting feat within itself!

Interim President, Dr. Ron Oberstein spoke to the large number of luncheon attendees and was immensely inspired by the turnout.

“Cal Jam was absolutely phenomenal!, Dr. Oberstein reported with excitement, “First, the college would like to thank Dr. DeMoss and Maryjane for the outstanding program that all their hard work brought to fruition.

I was absolutely floored at how many people attended our Alumni + Friends Luncheon. I was excited that I was able to share what’s going on around campus regarding WASC, our Sports Performance Institute, our World Outreach Program and of course, Lasting Purpose. The amount of President’s Circle members that joined during lunch was amazing and seeing so many people share the college’s vision for a subluxation free world and producing the best chiropractic graduates was extremely touching.

Giving, doing, loving and serving was palpable in the room and the energy was amazing. It’s always great to see Lasting Purpose alive and well – not only at our college, but within the profession.”

Life West’s success at California Jam was unprecedented. It is always a great thing to reunite and connect with like-minded friends in the chiropractic profession. Until next year!
