67th Commencement Celebrates 49 New Graduates

On Friday December 11, Life West celebrated the 67th commencement exercise and graduated 49 new chiropractors representing the Summer 2015 and the Fall 2015 graduating classes.

The students were joined by their families and friends, who came together to recognize this well-earned achievement. Faculty and staff also attended to honor and applaud the students who have earned their chiropractic degree.

“You grew your own wings to fly out into a world that so desperately needs you. All of you are ready to go forth and serve.” The graduates were inspired by the commencement address by Life West Board of Regents Chair, Dr. Ron Oberstein, as well as the two class Valedictorians, Dr. Chaz Curtis and Dr. Steven Keener.

Dr. Morgan Oberstein was the first recipient of the Sovinsky Medal. The medal is awarded once a year to a student that showcases exemplary business skills, care in the health center, and service to Life West. It is presented in memory and honor of Dr. Frank Sovinsky.

After the ceremony, the students and their families celebrated in the Life West Café au Life which was transformed with twinkling lights and festive cheer.

Please join us in congratulating the wonderful new graduates who are going out into the world to serve their communities with chiropractic. This graduation took place in the Historic BAL Theater. The next graduation will be taking place at the new auditorium on campus, the Standard Process Assembly Hall
