In May, CE Saturday is scheduled for May 18. On May 11, Life West will also be hosting a unique course that focuses in on the U.S. opiate crisis. Read on for more about what’s being offered.
Meeting the opioid epidemic head-on
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, on average, 130 Americans die every day from opioid overdose. This crisis is affecting every community and every aspect of health care. The Opiate Crisis and The Chiropractic Alternative course takes on the country’s current opiate crisis, providing an understanding of the epidemic’s impact on U.S. citizens and the health care system. Dan Murphy, DC, then offers a chiropractic alternative, teaching participants how to frame chiropractic for patients who are looking for alternative pain management.
Dr. Murphy, a practicing chiropractor for more than 36 years and part of the Life Chiropractic College faculty since 1982, seeks to empower chiropractors with this course about the role they can play in curbing the opiate epidemic. By the end of the seminar, which offers 12 hours of CE credits, you’ll be armed with a clear guide to offering an alternative to pain relief through adjustment rather than medication.
Register for the class here, which is scheduled for 8: am-8 pm on Saturday, May 11.
