The Tutoring Program

The Tutoring Program provides free tutoring services to Life West students who need further assistance in the courses for which they are registered.

Registration confirmations will be sent to your LCCW email address (lifewest.edu).

If for any reason you cannot use this form to register for a session, come to the Student Academic Success Center in Room 107.

You must be actively enrolled in the course for which you are registering.

Please remember to check your Life West email on a regular basis to make sure that you do not miss any important tutoring program announcements and/or emails from your tutor(s).

Regular tutoring hours: Monday – Thursday 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm

A walk-in session is held on Saturdays from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Walk-ins are allowed during this Saturday session. All other sessions require pre-registration.

Review the Participant Responsibilities section before attending your first tutoring session.

PARTICIPANT RESPONSIBILITIES

As a student at Life Chiropractic College West, it is your responsibility to attend class and complete your assigned work. The tutoring sessions offered through the Tutoring Program are intended to supplement what you are learning in class, in addition to the contact you have with your instructors during class as well as office hours or appointments.

Attendance Policy for ALL Tutoring Sessions

If you have registered for a tutoring session, you are expected to attend.

As a participant of the Tutoring Program, you agree to the following guidelines:

  • I understand that tutoring sessions are not a substitution for classroom instruction. I agree to attend class on a regular basis.
  • I will be prepared for my tutoring sessions by completing all course assignments (readings, homework, lab reports, etc.) prior to the session. I agree to bring my textbook, notes, note packets and questions to each session. I agree to have knowledge of where the instructor is in the lecture and to know when exams are being held and the content of those exams.
  • I understand that my tutor is not expected to do my work for me. The tutor can explain material, review assignments, help me prepare for tests, and provide additional materials if available.
