GRADUATION

The 65th commencement ceremony for Life Chiropractic College West took place on Friday, December 12th. Two classes, with a total of 50 students, walked across the stage to receive their Doctor of Chiropractic degrees. This graduation ceremony honored the graduates of the Summer 2014 class and the Fall 2014 class.

The graduation ceremony was held at the historic BAL Theater in San Leandro, California. The BAL Theater was built in 1946 and is a beautiful example of the era. It was the perfect location for the pomp and ceremony of a graduation.

Master of ceremonies for the evening was Dr. Jim Hawkins, who has attended 64 graduations. President, Dr. Brian Kelly conferred the degrees and greeted each graduate as they crossed the stage. The Life West faculty and administrators were present in full academic regalia to honor and witness the fine work of these graduates.

The graduation keynote speaker was Dr. Guy Riekeman, the President of Life University in Marietta, Georgia. Dr. Riekeman is a second generation chiropractor and a world-renown speaker. Dr. Riekeman regaled the graduates and their families with stories of chiropractors who made a huge impact on the world. He urged the graduates to follow in their footsteps and dream big.

The ceremony culminated with each graduate crossing the stage to receive their diploma, the recitation of the chiropractic oath, and finally the students flipped their tassels from right to left as they officially became graduates of Life Chiropractic College West.

A reception was held at the Oakland Scottish Rite center. Families gathered to celebrate and dance the night away.
Please join us in congratulating the new alumni of Life West as they go out to make their mark on the world.
