The Life West Health Center honored student interns last Friday at the final weekly seminar of the Winter 2020 quarter. Students were celebrated for exceptional records of service and for going above and beyond clinical requirements ahead of graduation.
Medals were handed out for certain milestones. Platinum honors, which recognize students with 500 or more adjustment visits, were awarded to Christine Nguyen. She was also recognized with the Clinical Excellence Award, Life West’s highest clinical honor.
Catherine Breton was presented with Gold honors in recognition of 400 or more adjustment visits. She was also named the college’s Intern of the Quarter for recording the most patient activity from January to March. Ian Barwick and Dana Koren were also given Gold honors, and Silver (350 visits) and Bronze (300 visits) honors were awarded as well.
After the recognition ceremony, Jeana Edwards, DC, welcomed interns who will start their time in clinic during the upcoming Spring 2020 quarter. The new interns walked across the stage while being introduced by Michelle Massa, DC, and Ankur Tayal, DC.
New graduates were also recognized individually. Lauren Clum, DC, read the names of those who have finished their studies, and each student was given a certificate by Life West Vice President of Clinical Operations Scott Donaldson, DC.
