Even though the WAVE is transitioning to an online experience this year, many of the annual events associated with Life Chiropractic College West’s premier conference are still on the schedule. This includes a virtual Alumni Luncheon on Saturday, Aug. 22, which this year will be combined with the Alumni Grand Reunion.
Take this opportunity to reconnect with your classmates and meet with Life West President Ron Oberstein, DC, Vice President of Institutional Advancement Mark Zeigler, DC, and new Alumni Relations Director Joseph Ibe, DC, a 2010 graduate.
“I blinked my eyes and 10 years have quickly gone by since I graduated,” Dr. Ibe said. “The world has certainly changed, but our fondness for our alma mater has not. Join me, virtually and meaningfully, for our Alumni Luncheon. Let’s reconnect and share stories about our times at Life West.”
Since we won’t be providing lunch in person, let us treat you to lunch in a new (for us!) and innovative way. Life West is providing $25 DoorDash gift certificates to the first 250 alumni who register to attend. In addition, to celebrate the Life West classes of 1985, 1990, 1995, 2000, 2005, 2010, and 2015, all alumni from those years will be guaranteed a gift certificate. Guests should plan to order their food 30 to 45 minutes prior to the luncheon, which begins at 12 pm Pacific.
The deadline for registration to ensure a DoorDash coupon is 12 pm Tuesday, Aug. 18. Signups will still be allowed after that time, but attendees will not be guaranteed a DoorDash gift certificate.
The schedule of events also includes a special shout-out to our Alumni Grand Reunion attendees. Members of the classes which would have been honored at the Alumni Grand Reunion will also be recognized, and planning is already underway to do that in person at next year’s WAVE.
Speakers will make several presentations on the state of alumni affairs at Life West and new initiatives that will support alumni and chiropractic as a whole. This includes an update on Life West Connect, which was launched earlier this year to engage with our community in a digital and meaningful way. Life West will also present the annual Alumni Awards at the luncheon. Recipients of the Student of the Year, Alumni of the Year, and International Alumni of the Year awards will all be announced.
