Life West hosts Job Fair to connect chiropractors, students

The Life Chiropractic College West Career Services team organized its first Job Fair this week in its Hayward, California campus gymnasium. The event connected practicing chiropractors with eager soon-to-be chiropractors.

The Job Fair featured more than 55 different chiropractic offices, ranging from nearby locations around the Bay Area to faraway places such as Canada and the East Coast.

The Life West gymnasium fills with chiropractors and senior students looking to connect during Thursday’s Job Fair.

More than 80 students dressed up for the occasion and brought their newly updated resumes to the Job Fair in hopes of connecting with a chiropractic office that resonated with them.

Dr. Palmer Peet, Director of Alumni Relations and coordinator of the event, said he gets a lot of requests from chiropractic offices looking for new graduates to fill in associate positions.

“The demand is great for chiropractors looking for quality associates, and what better pool to fish in than Life West?” Dr. Peet said.

Each chiropractor had his or her own table, and some took the opportunity to decorate theirs with business cards, information pamphlets, and free swag.

A job board was also posted at the fair, offering a place to provide information from the chiropractors who weren’t able to make the event. More pictures of the event are available on Facebook.

The chiropractors and Life West students gave a positive review of the fair, and many asked Dr. Peet when there will be another event. Dr. Peet said he plans on organizing another such event at The WAVE 2019 chiropractic conference, in August 2019.
