Provost’s Merit Award

The Life West Provost’s Merit Award was created to acknowledge those new students that exemplify high academic achievements, strong leadership skills, and community involvement

Life West Provost’s Merit Award Criteria

  • Must be an incoming new full-time student
  • Candidates must have a minimum of 3.25 GPA on the 90 hours required to enter Life West
  • Admissions interview must be completed and the student must be conditionally accepted into the program
  • Scholarship essay submission through the online application

Life West Provost’s Merit Award Details

  • A scholarship up to $15,000 will be awarded ($1250 per quarter for up to 12 quarters)
  • A student must maintain full time status to retain scholarship
  • Recipients must maintain a 3.0 quarterly GPA to retain scholarship. Failure to maintain a 3.0 quarterly GPA for two consecutive quarters will result in the loss of the scholarship
  • Scholarship applications will be reviewed monthly
  • Recipients will be selected on a monthly basis
  • Recipients are required to submit their Intent to Enroll and a tuition deposit of $500 to finalize acceptance of scholarship
  • ​Scholarships will be awarded until funds have been exhausted for the next four quarters.

Deadline

  • ​Awards for the next four quarters will be reviewed at the end of every month and funds will be awarded monthly until funds have been exhausted. We encourage incoming students to apply when they are accepted.

*A student may only be a recipient of either the Provost’s Merit Award or the Sacred Trust Award, not both
