For more than a decade, Annette Schippel, DC, has traveled the world teaching thousands of practitioners about functional endocrinology and its application for the patient while writing and co-writing numerous manuals used by clinicians implementing the discipline in their work. Her advanced knowledge in the field has led to many guest speaking invitations, both nationally and abroad, and Life West is honored to have Dr. Schippel as a speaker at The WAVE, scheduled for August 16-18.
Since her graduation from Logan University in 1998, Schippel’s focus in both functional nutrition and phytotherapy has gained her a patient following that spans from her native state of Illinois across the country and overseas. Her practice, Endocrine Wellness Group, co-founded with colleague Dr. Doris Kutz-Compton, is based on a mission to help patients heal via individually-customized programs that are designed to rebuild a whole and healthy body capable of fighting its own battles (rather than symptom abatement and pain alleviation) – a unique but symbiotic correlation with The WAVE 2019’s theme, “The Science, Philosophy and Art of Chiropractic: The Salutogenic Model.”
Dedicated to finding the best individual path for each patient, Endocrine Wellness is centered upon balancing the body hormonally, biologically, mentally and spiritually to help or completely alleviate every symptomatic condition. Using organic, whole food vitamins, minerals, and herbs to assist in the healing process while educating and encouraging patients to live healthier lifestyles through eating whole, unpressed foods, drinking pure water and appropriate exercise, Shippel’s expertise in functional medicine has contributed to the success of her integrative holistic practice while allowing her to become a respected health educator in her profession.
At The WAVE 2019, Dr. Shippel’s presentation topic, “How to See the Bigger Picture with Functional Nutrition,” will highlight both the importance of functional nutrition and viewing the individual patient as a whole person instead of a collection of symptoms. Attendees will gain a better understanding of functional/optimal physiology versus pathology, how to get to the “why” vs. the “what” when reviewing an individual’s health, and simple steps to choosing correct nutrition, herbal support and lifestyle recommendations for patients.
It’s not too late to save your space at The WAVE 2019. Register here to see Dr. Schippel’s discussion, as well as a host of other notable addresses from keynote speakers renowned in a variety of chiropractic methodologies and relative fields.
