Life Chiropractic College West hosted a couple of events on Thursday that highlighted what the student experience is like on campus.
Bright, young minds visit Life West
Oakland Technical High School, located in Oakland, California, brought more than 50 students to Life West for a tour on campus and to learn more about chiropractic as a career.
The students were engaged in activities during the day, such as building a spine from real bones, learning about sports and chiropractic from Sports Performance Institute coordinator Dr. Scott Lessard, and analyzing each others’ posture with Life West lab assistant Dr. Jeana Edwards.
Career Services, Alumni teams thank students
A line out the door of the Cafe Au Life at Life West ensued for the Spizz and Spaghetti dinner organized by the Career Services Department and Alumni Relations.
The dinner, catered by Olive Garden, was a gesture from these two Life West teams to show love and appreciation to the students.
“We always talk about ‘Give, Do, Love and Serve.’ Well, this was our opportunity to give, do, love and serve for them,” said Director of Alumni Relations Dr. Palmer Peet, referring to the Life West motto.
The Career Services Department provides free assistance services to those with the tools necessary to transition from being a student to being a successful practitioner of chiropractic. Learn more about the program at lifewest.edu/alumni/career-services/.
