Diversity and Inclusion EDU Online Training Has Begun

Life Chiropractic College West - Northern California

On April 9, the college adopted the Inclusive Language Policy, as part of Initiative Two of the Life West 2019-2025 Strategic Plan. The focus of the plan’s second initiative is diversity and inclusion, with the goal of fostering a campus climate and college community that respects and embraces all people. Learn more about the Inclusive Language Policy, or ILP, in this video from Diversity and Inclusion Officer Dr. Annette Walker.

As a standard policy, inclusive language, which is often called non-discriminatory language, has been added to the Diversity and Inclusion EDU online training. You should have received an email about this training, which must be completed by Wednesday, July 1. If you did not receive this message, email HR@lifewest.edu.

The college recognizes the need to continuously evaluate and increase everyone’s capacity for inclusive leadership. As such, integrating inclusive language into the campus culture is a high priority. All members of the Life West community have a role and responsibility to comply with the inclusive language policy and its related procedures to ensure that the institution-wide policy is properly implemented.

If you have questions, contact Dr. Walker or Tarsha Addison, Director of Human Resources and Campus Culture.
