Tomorrow’s (Friday) Health Center Recognition Seminar will continue as scheduled.
We do understand that there are recommendations to limit large gatherings, of which Seminar would be considered to be one. As such, we are not requiring attendance at tomorrow’s event, but are simply making it optional.
We understand that you are required to attend seven Friday Seminars in the quarter, so this quarter we will give you credit if you only completed six.
This way, you can celebrate the accomplishments of your friends and colleagues together, or you can proceed in a different way.
Interns who will be receiving recognition are not required to attend, but can if you so choose. If you do attend, you will be recognized if you sign in. If you choose not to attend, you will not be penalized, and can get your certificates from the Health Center administration.
Likewise, faculty and staff will not be required to attend. If a mentor chooses not to attend, we will introduce their intern on their behalf. This will not be held against anyone in any way.
We wish you best of luck on finals, and encourage you to stay safe and do your best to protect yourself and your loved ones from this virus.
