This is a friendly reminder to complete the mandatory Harassment Prevention Training assignment. If you have not received a training notification, please let us know immediately at HR@lifewest.edu.
A new law took effect on August 30, 2019, requiring virtually all California employers to provide sexual harassment prevention training to all full-time, part-time, and temporary employees by January 1, 2021. Non-supervisory employees must receive one hour of sexual harassment training and supervisors must receive two hours of training.
Training must take place within six months of hire or promotion and every two years thereafter. Seasonal and temporary employees or employees hired to work less than 6 months, must be trained within 30 calendar days after hire or within 100 hours worked, whichever is earlier.
