Welcome to the Winter Quarter!

Happy New Year! Shout out to our NEW and RETURNING students! We’re thrilled to see you!

Please be sure to stop by and say hello to Dani, Mimi, and Loretta. The Student Life lounge area is open for studying, collaboration, and connection (and snacks!). We are always here to help with housing, employment, club information, parking passes, lockers, etc. We can’t wait to see you.

Here are a few reminders as we begin our new quarter.

Campus Hours

The Life West Campus is open at the following times:
Monday through Friday from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.,
Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and
Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Should a club or student organization need to meet outside of these hours, please contact the Office of Student Life for more information.

Children on Campus COVID-19 Guidelines

At this time, we do not permit children on campus unless they are actively nursing or are attending an appointment at the Health Center. We will re-implement the college’s Children on Campus Policy as soon as we are no longer required to follow the state’s COVID-19 safety guidelines. Please see Dani Lorta in Student Life with questions or concerns.

No Alcohol or Drugs on Campus

As a reminder, Life West is a dry campus. Alcohol and drugs, including THC, are not permitted on campus, in the parking lot, or at any college-sponsored events, except for events hosted by the Office of Institutional Advancement. Please download the Alcohol and Drug Policy PDF for more detailed information.

Unauthorized Student Adjusting Prohibited

Students are not permitted to perform chiropractic adjustments outside the Health Center, Health Center extension activity, or appropriate classroom setting. Adjusting at club meetings, seminars, and/or workshops, either on-or off-campus is prohibited. When adjusting outside the boundaries of the Health Center clinical practice or other College sanctioned settings, students violate state law. For more details, download Unauthorized Student Adjusting.

Parking and Safety

When parked in the college parking lots, all vehicles must display a Life West parking permit. Permits are available in the Office of Student Life. Please do not park in the Health Center or visitor spaces. Please refrain from leaving anything of value unattended in your car as a precaution. While we have a security patrol and cameras, we cannot guarantee the safety of your property and are not responsible for damaged or stolen items.

Animals on Campus

Life West allows only service animals specifically trained to assist or perform tasks for people with disabilities on campus. We do not permit pets and emotional support animals on campus, except for certain patients in the Health Center and the Animal Club meetings. Please see Tia Ruggles in the Academic Success Center for more information.

Please review the Student Catalog and Handbook for more information about these policies and others.
