Dan Murphy, DC, at the WAVE 20

SPEAKER: Dan Murphy, DC

TRACK: Science

Dr. Dan Murphy is well-known to those who attend the WAVE, Life West’s annual chiropractic conference. He’s been a cornerstone to the agenda, speaking on the science behind chiropractic, for the past several years, and this year is no different. This year, Dr. Murphy will discuss orthopedics and neurology, and why chiropractic is effective in the management of spinal pain syndromes, among other issues that boost overall health.

See a recent video interview between Dr. Murphy and Dr. Ron Oberstein, President of Life West, for a discussion about chiropractic and the current COVID-19 pandemic.

About Dr. Murphy: A faculty member at Life West for more than 30 years, Dr. Murphy has taught more than 1,400 seminars and is a sought-after speaker on chiropractic around the globe. He’s been a chiropractor for more than 40 years after graduating magna cum laude from Western States Chiropractic College in 1978.

Dr. Murphy has a Diplomate in Chiropractic Orthopedics. He is a contributing author to the books Motor Vehicle Collision Injuries and Pediatric Chiropractic. From 2003-2009 Dr. Murphy was the Vice President of the International Chiropractic Association, and he was chosen “Chiropractor of the Year” in 2009 -2010.

WAVE 20: What’s on deck this year for Dr. Murphy? “Ninety-three percent of initial chiropractic patients seek care for spinal back and neck pain complaints,” he wrote in an email interview.

“Chiropractic is proven to be both safe and effective in the management of spine pain syndromes. At the WAVE, I’ll give you the latest updates in orthopedics and neurology as to why chiropractic is effective in the management of spine pain syndromes.”

Looking ahead to August: Vitalistic chiropractors know that chiropractic adjustments can impact the health of so much more than just spinal pain. This session is where you’ll get a snapshot of the latest research that Dr. Murphy thinks is important in connecting the dots between spinal pain and chiropractic care, and he’ll help you apply it to other facets of chiropractic care as well. His well-attended presentations are heavy on the science and lay out the latest evidence to support chiropractic care.
