A member of the Life West Board of Regents, Dr. Kristen Giles is one of many experts who will be taking the stage this August at the WAVE 20, Life West’s annual chiropractic conference, which will be held in Hayward, California, on the Life Chiropractic College West campus in San Francisco’s East Bay. She’ll discuss how to set the tone with communication to build progressive strategies.
About Dr. Giles: A chiropractic professional of 20 years, Dr. Giles practices in nearby Napa, California, with her husband, Dr. Paul Ruscica. She has served on the Life West Board of Regents since 2015 and was elected vice-chair in 2016.
WAVE 20: Dr. Giles’ presentation at the WAVE will focus on communication with patients. Attendees will learn strategies that empower both chiropractors and patients alike through constructive dialogue.
“Improving patient health outcomes requires leadership and direction on the part of the doctor but also buy-in from the patients themselves,” she said. “Doctors and patients will benefit from the inclusion of small health and behavioral goal-setting. This talk will outline a process of gradual improvement that can be applied both to the chiropractor and the patient.”
Looking ahead to August: “The WAVE actually marks my five-year anniversary as a Life West Board Member,” Dr. Giles said. “I am very honored to serve in this position and share some of my experiences about chiropractic practice and living a chiropractic-congruent lifestyle for the past 20 years. Chiropractic gave my husband and I the platform to create an abundant life full of gratitude and positivity that we now share with our two kids, and has allowed us to discover other enjoyments in life that build on who we are as people. This authenticity and passion then circles back to serve and love our patients each and every day.”
