Discovery Weekends are the perfect opportunity to really experience Life West. Over 2 days, you’ll dig into exactly what Chiropractic is, what it isn’t and how we approach the education. Talk with our students, hear from panels of practicing chiropractors and engage with our faculty, admissions and leadership teams. There’s an amazing energy and culture within these walls and you can only experience that here. So, whether Discovery Weekend is your first step or your last, walk away with a great experience, a better understanding of your “why?”, and have the info you need to know what’s next.

Travel Reimbursement + Free 1-Night Hotel Stay: This is a free event for prospective students to learn about a degree at Life West. Prospective students may qualify for up to $250 in travel reimbursements and a 1-night hotel stay at our partner hotel. How to book the hotel: If you qualify, we will email you a booking link before the event, and you will choose which night you need the hotel. Location: Aloft by Marriott Silicon Valley Travel reimbursement qualifications:

Traveling over 50 miles to our campus (Hayward, CA)
Attend the entire event on Friday and Saturday

Can I bring guests with me?

Yes! Guests are welcome. Please include all guests when making your reservation and let us know in advance if anyone has food allergies or dietary restrictions.

Yes, please let us know if you have any allergies or dietary restrictions.

Do I qualify for travel reimbursements?

The prospective student will be eligible for up to $250 in reimbursements and a hotel stay for 1 night through our booking link if they meet the following criteria:

Traveling over 50 miles (Hayward, CA)
Attend BOTH days of the event

How does the travel reimbursement work?

We cover reasonable travel expenses up to $250.
After attending both days, send your travel receipts to Shannon at ShHuber@lifewest.edu. Once the documents have been approved, a check will be mailed to you.

How do I get reimbursed for driving my own car?

Send a Google Maps image of the mileage to and from the event location to receive mileage reimbursement.

What hotel are we staying at?

Aloft By Marriott Silicon Valley (Newark, CA)
Must be booked through our booking link.
You will need to use your own credit card for incidental charges.

What if I need to add an extra day to my free 1-night stay in the hotel?

You will receive a discounted rate; however, you will need to call the hotel yourself to arrange that.

How will I be able to transfer from the hotel to the event?

Friday night after the event and Saturday morning, we will provide ride shares for you if necessary from the campus to the hotel.
Any travel needs outside of this can be included in your travel reimbursements.

What if I can no longer attend?

Notify your advisor or our event coordinator, and we can remove your registration.

Can I register on the day of the event?

Yes, however, advance registration for the student and their guests is strongly encouraged.

Where do I check in?

Event signage and staff will direct you to the appropriate area. Check your email for further instructions
