Life West Alumni

Supporting recent graduates in launching their practice

The Life West Alumni Launch Grant is designed to support recent graduates and early-career chiropractors in launching or expanding their chiropractic practices. This grant embodies Life West’s mission to foster the success of its alumni and uplift communities through principled chiropractic care.

Eligibility Requirements:
  • Graduated or will graduate from Life Chiropractic College West during the current calendar year.  If still a student, they must be in the final term with confirmed graduation by end of the year.
  • Clean academic and professional record
Submission Requirements:

This application requires that you submit the following materials before December 31st of the current calendar year. Application period opens on October 1st of the current year.

  • Personal Statement (max 1,000 words): Describe your professional goals, vision for your practice, and how this grant will support your journey.
  • Business Plan: Include your mission, services, market analysis, marketing plan, competitive advantage, operations, and growth strategy.
  • Financial Documentation: Startup cost breakdown, use-of-funds plan, and 12-month cash flow projection.
  • Optional: Any additional materials to support your application (renderings, letters of support, etc.)

Review & Selection:

Applications received by the Alumni Association Board of Directors by December 31st will be considered and the award will be announced on January 31st of the next year. One applicant will be awarded each year for as long as funding is available. If additional funds are raised, more than one grant may be made.

Grant Award Details:
  • Amount: $1000 one-time allotments
  • Disbursement: One-time payment from Life West’s business office directly to the recipient.
  • Announcement: Winner notified via email/phone and recognized at The Wave.
  • Expectations: Winner will share a brief presentation or video at The Wave the following year.
Post-Award Accountability:
  • Submit a follow-up report to the Alumni Association within 6 months of receiving funds, including:

    • Written update that showcases success and highlights impact of the grant (500–800 words)
    • At least 3 photos (clinic build-out, signage, community impact, etc.)
    • Summary of how grant funds were used
  • Optional: Provide feedback or testimonials to help future applicants
