Bellevue, NE – November 8, 2024 – Life Chiropractic College West (LCCW) is thrilled to announce that its Bellevue, Nebraska campus has received approval to accept international students, effective October 18, 2024. Granted by the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP), this approval marks a significant step in expanding educational opportunities for aspiring chiropractors from around the globe.
A formal request for SEVP approval was submitted on July 13, 2023. Following their review process, Life West Nebraska completed their site visit on August 8, 2023. This final approval allows our Nebraska campus to begin admitting international students beginning in the Winter 2025 quarter.
Debbie Calero, Assistant Director of Enrollment & International Services and Primary Designated School Official (PDSO), drove this process forward and expressed that this approval represents not just a milestone for the Bellevue campus, but a huge step forward for international students to pursue their dreams of becoming chiropractors in the United States. She added that the college is excited to welcome students from different backgrounds, enriching the community with their unique perspectives and experiences.
LCCW’s Bellevue campus, which opened its doors in Fall 2023, is growing rapidly and has already made a significant impact on the local community and the chiropractic profession. With state-of-the-art facilities, a clinically inspired curriculum, and a commitment to hands-on experience, the college’s mission is to graduate practice-ready chiropractors.
In addition to Debbie Calero, the push for international student approval was supported by Dr. Marilyn Al-Hassan, Executive Vice President, and Dr. Scott Donaldson, Provost, both of whom played pivotal roles in navigating the process. Dr. Al-Hassan shared that the successful approval for the international student program reflects the hard work and dedication of the entire team. She emphasized that diversity is a cornerstone of effective education and that the college looks forward to enriching the academic environment with international perspectives.
