Brand new campus, 40-year-old chiropractic school
For more than 40 years, Life West has been graduating practice-ready chiropractors from our West Coast campus in the San Francisco Bay Area. In Fall 2023, we opened our second campus in Bellevue, Nebraska, just outside of Omaha, on the campus of Bellevue University.
No matter where you’re at on your journey into chiropractic, know that Life West Nebraska is a great place to earn your doctor of chiropractic degree while experiencing “The Good Life” in America’s Heartland: A beautiful campus, the field’s lowest student-to-teach ratio, a bustling live music scene in the Omaha metro area, access to world-class sporting events and countless opportunities to become part of this tight-knit community.
Life West’s Bellevue campus is unique in that it’s situated on the larger Bellevue University campus. Not only do students get to take advantage of the purpose-built facilities at Life West, but they also have full access to the facilities, amenities, resources and opportunities available through the larger campus community. This is an incredibly safe environment, with a caring community and immediate access to a growing metro area.
Earning a doctorate of chiropractic is going to consume a significant amount of your focus, energy and time for 14 quarters. Along that journey, you’ll forge lifetime friendships with some of the most genuine students you can imagine and experience unforgettable moments together. Nebraska is a great place to call home base for that experience.
From cutting-edge science labs to our public-facing Health Center, Life West’s Bellevue campus was purpose-built to deliver a great chiropractic education. Paired with the larger Bellevue University campus facilities, Life West Nebraska students enjoy an amazing selection of resources to learn to become doctors of chiropractic.
Situated on 46 acres, the Bellevue campus has no shortage of space. Water features, multiple outdoor gathering spaces, plus local access to miles and miles of hiking and biking trails – students have space to recharge at Life West Nebraska.
Smaller class sizes, a more personal feel, more 1-on-1 attention & individualized guidance! While Life West has always maintained a great student-to-teacher ratio, the bottom line is that Life West’s Bellevue campus boasts the lowest student-to-teacher ratio in chiropractic education, period (and it’s not close). This creates more opportunities to connect with your mentors, form deep connections with your peers and creates every opportunity to get the most out of your education.
Other schools take a sequential approach to their curriculum – classroom studies followed by the clinic component. At Life West, we approach the two in tandem so students see the application of their academic studies in the real word environment.
Building on our curriculum, we believe giving students the earliest hands-on experience and maximizing their time spent with patients in a clinical setting are the most effective way to prepare practice-ready chiropractors.
Life West was founded on the ethos of Give, Do, Love & Serve. Students have the opportunity to live that ethos through Life West’s International Service Trips including Tonga, India, Mexico & beyond. Learn chiropractic, give back to undeserved communities and travel.
Life West offered the first Chiropractic Preceptorship Program and continues to offer the most extensive in-the-field education options. Most students spend their final year working off-campus in busy chiropractic offices under the mentorship of a DC of their choosing.
