Life West is creating a clearer connection between academic progress, board readiness, and the path to licensure.
Moving Life West forward means identifying where stronger structures can improve student outcomes and taking action.
Beginning Winter 2027, Life West will implement a new Progression Policy that connects key board examination milestones with a student’s progression through the clinical portion of the Doctor of Chiropractic program.
Life West graduates demonstrate strong board success over time. However, timing matters. CCE accreditation requirements include benchmarks related to graduates passing required board examinations within six months of graduation. The new policy is designed to help students prepare, test, and successfully complete their boards earlier in their academic journey.
The policy introduces clear board-related checkpoints beginning with Clinic I and continuing through preceptorship and the final clinic course. It also establishes a structured process for students who need additional attempts, with advising, academic support, and a defined path forward.
This change is about more than meeting a requirement. It is about helping students move more efficiently from student to graduate to licensed Doctor of Chiropractic, while strengthening the outcomes that support Life West’s accreditation and the value of a Life West degree.
