Life Chiropractic College West proudly celebrates alumnus Dr. Nicholas Nelson, Class of 2018, chiropractor, author, educator, and passionate advocate for holistic health and human potential.
A magna cum laude graduate of Life West, Dr. Nelson earned the Gold Honours distinction in clinic after completing over 450 adjustments while pursuing his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in Hayward, California. His academic journey was shaped by an interdisciplinary background in anthropology, biology, philosophy, and psychology, with a focus on bridging scientific study and human experience.
Today, Dr. Nelson is the owner and operator of Element Chiropractic in Edmonton, Alberta, where he works with patients locally and around the world. Known for his ability to translate complex scientific and philosophical concepts into accessible, meaningful conversations, he has dedicated his career to empowering individuals to better understand their bodies and reclaim their health.
Dr. Nelson’s passion for the human body began long before chiropractic school. As a former personal trainer and lifelong athlete with a love for hockey and skateboarding, he developed an early fascination with movement, performance, and wellness. That curiosity eventually evolved into a deep exploration of subjects ranging from epigenetics and quantum theory to neuroscience and holistic healing.
While at Life West, Dr. Nelson had the opportunity to learn from influential thinkers including Dr. Bruce Lipton, founder of the field of epigenetics and author of The Biology of Belief.
Inspired by mentors and innovators in the health and wellness space, Dr. Nelson continues to challenge conventional thinking and encourage a broader understanding of human health.
His debut book, Inner Alchemy: A No-Holds-Barred Guide to Understanding Your Body and Reclaiming Your Health, has positioned him as an emerging voice among global thought leaders in wellness and personal transformation.
Whether working with patients, writing, or speaking on holistic health, Dr. Nelson remains committed to helping others think differently, heal deeply, and live more empowered lives.
