Life West is committed to providing viable housing options. We recognize that finding housing in the Bay Area can seem daunting, but we are here to support you.
To assist you in your search for accommodation, we have compiled various information on housing in the Bay Area, ideally in a way you can maximize your budget and expenses.
If you’re looking to join an existing housing situation, our student worker Housing Coordinator, will refer* existing available opportunities within our registered Provider List. We recommend finding a roommate(s) to keep costs down.
*Life West acts only as a referral service and makes no particular recommendations regarding housing opportunities. The office of Student Life is not responsible for safety, building/living conditions, or other aspects of these housing opportunities, or for the tenant/landlord or roommate relationship. Due to the volume of listings received, we are unable to research the integrity of each house, room, or apartment listing. We cannot be held responsible for any services or agreements you may enter through the information listed on this site. The information provided is solely for your convenience. Therefore, you are urged to take this responsibility upon yourself.

A private Facebook group, Life West Chiro Trade is another resource. It allows you to communicate with other students to find potential roommates. Once admitted to Life West, an administrator will approve you joining the Facebook page.
There are rental agencies and online listing services. The online services will allow users to browse the most up-to-date housing listings without having to be in the Bay Area. You will be able to search neighborhoods to find accommodations to meet your personal price range and preferences. Agencies may charge a fee for their services. Many landlords use such agencies.
Online Listing Services
Due to the rental market in San Francisco, landlords usually require immediate occupancy. Start looking early and give yourself 3-6 weeks to find housing
