CHIRO ONE WELLNESS CENTERS SCHOLARSHIP

Chiro One is establishing an endowment scholarship at Life Chiropractic College West to support the college and our students to help develop and nurture future leaders in the chiropractic profession. While funding the endowment, Chiro One is also donating $1000/year so the program can begin now.

Scholarship Criteria

• Requires a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50
• Currently enrolled 9th quarter and above
• Applicant must be in good standing with all office on campus.
• Requires a 500-word essay
• Provide a detailed list of all extracurricular activities, organizational involvement, etc. both inside and outside of Life West that relates to the field of chiropractic.

Essay Scoring Rubric

• Context – Possible 10 points:
  • Accomplished — 9 – 10 points
  • Good — 6 – 8 points
  • Satisfactory — 3 – 5 points
  • Needs Improvement — 0 – 2 points
• Syntax & Grammar – Possible 10 points:
  • Accomplished — 9 – 10 points
  • Good — 6 – 8 points
  • Satisfactory — 3 – 5 points
  • Needs Improvement — 0 – 2 points
• Content – Possible 30 points:
  • Accomplished — 24 – 30 points
  • Good — 16 – 23 points
  • Satisfactory — 8 – 15 points
  • Needs Improvement — 0 – 7 points

Extracurricular Activies/Involvement Chiropractic Scoring Rubric

• Content – Possible 50 points:
  • Highly Active — 38 – 50 points
  • Active — 25 – 37 points
  • Somewhat Active — 12 – 24 points
  • Minimal Involvement — 0 – 11 points

Deadline

• Application Deadline: October 23, 2024 (Fall 2024). All required documents must be submitted online by this date. The Life West Scholarship committee will review/score the applicants based on the above rubric.
