On September 18, 1895, D.D. Palmer delivered the first chiropractic adjustment, and with that act, our profession was born. Each year, Chiropractic Founders
Chiropractic is grounded in the belief that the body holds an innate ability to heal, and that health is more than the absence of disease.
Since that first adjustment, millions of lives have been touched and transformed by chiropractic care. Our profession has grown into a worldwide community, bringing not only the power of the adjustment but also the vitalistic perspective that honors life, human potential, and the wholeness of the person.
At Life Chiropractic College West, we see these ideals alive every day. Our students—the leaders of tomorrow—are preparing to carry the torch with passion, skill, and service. They are following in the footsteps of the trailblazers who came before, while bringing fresh vision and energy to advance chiropractic’s place in the world.
As I reflect on this day, I am reminded of my own journey—of the mentors, colleagues, and patients who have shown me just how powerful our work truly is. I know many of you share similar stories. Founders Day is an invitation to remember those experiences, and to celebrate the difference chiropractic has made in all our lives.
