Alumni Spotlight: Dr. Cassie Stansberry – ’21

Dr. Cassie Stansberry: Living Her Purpose, One Adjustment at a Time

From collegiate athlete to compassionate chiropractor, Dr. Cassie Stansberry (’21) radiates the spirit of lifelong learning, service, and heart that defines Life West graduates. A proud Bay Area native, she’s building her career on connection and care—helping both people and animals live healthier, more vibrant lives. Guided by her innate and grounded in a passion for holistic healing, Dr. Stansberry brings warmth, curiosity, and purpose to every adjustment she gives, whether she’s working on spinal curve correction, animal chiropractic, or emotional wellness.

Dr. Cassie: As I write this, I’m watching my two new rescue hens chase each other playfully in the coop my mom helped put together (alongside the community of friends who assisted), while my thoughts drift between research for a better Electronic Health Record (EHS) system and planning my upcoming trip to India. This snapshot captures what life after chiropractic school feels like for me–even with the flexibility of a four-day work week, life is a delicate balancing act between personal passions, professional growth, and continual learning.

Dr. Cassie Stansberry - Chiropractor and 2021 graduate of Life Chiropractic College West

Upon enrolling at Life Chiropractic College West, I had envisioned starting my own practice right after graduation. I attended every seminar possible, broadening and deepening my knowledge until I found my niche. I graduated from Life Chiropractic College West in October of 2021, and to my surprise, life steered me in a different direction, and I became an Associate Chiropractor. At the time, I knew I was not ready to start my own practice, and I did not force it. Instead, I released my old, outdated expectations.

At the time, I knew I was not ready to start my own practice, and I did not force it. Instead, I released my old, outdated expectations.

A blessing in disguise, my experience as an Associate prepared me with first-hand knowledge, skills, and confidence to run a business. With the comfort of knowing I would receive a monthly paycheck without the stress of overhead expenses, I had the capacity to fully devote myself to improving and developing my craft. During this time, I shed my imposter syndrome and discovered a wellspring of confidence and purpose and acknowledged with full conviction that I am a Doctor of Chiropractic. I learned that being of service meant I had to surrender to life’s path. Fast forward four years after graduation, I am now becoming a business partner at the same practice.

This valuable life lesson of surrender still resonates today. Each day I walk into my practice, I let go of expectations and surrender to my greater purpose of serving my communities. Life after Life West has been fulfilling and expansive–each day brings new and meaningful opportunities to learn, connect, and serve.

Each day I walk into my practice, I let go of expectations and surrender to my greater purpose of serving my communities.
