Montana Chiropractic Council — Supporting and Protecting Chiropractic in the Last Best Place
Montana has long been defined by independence, resilience, and respect for personal choice in health and wellness. This past year, those values were tested as chiropractic faced two major legislative threats, HB500 and HB929. If passed, these bills would have significantly altered the scope, autonomy, and philosophical foundation of chiropractic practice in Montana.
HB500 sought to redefine chiropractic and impose new regulatory burdens that conflicted with its drug-free, non-surgical foundation. HB929 proposed expanded external oversight that would have limited the profession’s ability to deliver principled care. Through coordinated statewide advocacy, grassroots mobilization, and dedicated testimony, both bills were defeated. But their introduction sent a clear message: chiropractic in Montana needs a unified, proactive, and principled presence.
Through coordinated statewide advocacy, grassroots mobilization, and dedicated testimony, both bills were defeated. But their introduction sent a clear message: chiropractic in Montana needs a unified, proactive, and principled presence.
In response, the Montana Chiropractic Council (MCC) was formed to defend, protect, and strengthen chiropractic in our state and to ensure access to principled, drug-free chiropractic care. The MCC is committed to educating the public, supporting chiropractors, promoting preventive wellness initiatives, and advocating for chiropractic as an essential part of Montana’s healthcare landscape.
The formation of the MCC represents a strategic shift toward long-term unity and sustainability. As Montana evolves, our profession must remain organized, vigilant, and engaged. The MCC is dedicated to leading this effort with integrity and purpose.
