Both campuses at Life West have a variety of digital screens in both horizontal and vertical formats to help communicate with our community and promote upcoming events. We actively encourage their use but also need to ensure guidelines and best practices are followed to ensure we’re using them effectively, that our brand and user experience is consistent, and that responsibilities are clear.
All of our screens are full HD (or higher). This means artwork destined for these screens should use a 16:9 (horizontal) or a 9:16 (vertical) aspect ratio. In pixel dimensions, that’s typically going to be 1920 x 1080 (horizontal screens) or 1080 x 1920 (vertical screens).
With the exception of pre-approved, scoped marketing projects, requesters are required to supply their own graphic/artwork files. These files should be saved in JPG format in the pixel dimensions outlined above.All artwork will be reviewed/approved by Student Life and/or others as needed.
A growing number of pre-developed brand templates are available through the Life West Canva Account. You can find those here.
Staff & Faculty will be added to the account automatically when registering for a Canva account with their @lifewest email. Work Study and select students will be granted access on a case-by-case basis.
