LCCW Tutor

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Students who meet the minimum qualifications may apply to tutor their peers.

1-on- 1: Both the tutor and the tutee must complete the proper paperwork and have all documentation signed by Angelica Merlini or Susie Childs. It is the responsibility of the tutors to communicate with the course faculty member and clarify the focus and content to be taught. At the end of each quarter, the learner will have the opportunity to evaluate the tutor.

Group: Tutor for the class. It is the responsibility of the tutors to communicate with the course faculty member and clarify the focus and content to be taught. Required: at least one tutoring session every week.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have a 3.0 cumulative grade point average or higher. If grades fall below 3.0, the student cannot continue tutoring. Transfer students may apply if they qualify with their transfer coursework.
  • Must have signatures of approval from faculty members of classes they desire to tutor. When approaching the instructors for signatures, the tutor should clarify the goals and direction they should take with their tutoring for the specific classes.
  • The students may only tutor for classes they have completed successfully with a 3.0 or higher.
  • Students may not tutor for classes in which they are currently enrolled.
  • Students may tutor their peers one-on-one or in a group setting.
  • Tutors will be evaluated by the students they tutor at the end of each quarter.

Salary: W10 – $16.90/hour (1 on 1) W11 – $20.00/hour (group)
