Life Chiropractic College West Expands Its Reach with Grand Opening of Second Campus at Bellevue University in Bellevue, NE
BELLEVUE, NE – November 4, 2023
Life Chiropractic College West, an institution at the forefront of chiropractic education, is thrilled to announce the grand opening of its second campus at Bellevue University in Bellevue, Nebraska. This expansion marks a significant milestone in the college’s commitment to advancing chiropractic education and fostering the growth of healthcare professionals dedicated to promoting holistic well-being.
The grand opening ceremony took place on November 4th at Life West’s new campus – A combination of dedicated and integrated facilities within the larger Bellevue University campus.
The event was well attended, bringing together local community leaders such as Bellevue Mayor, Rusty Hike and representatives from Bellevue University including University President, Dr. Mary Hawkins. Dignitaries from the greater chiropractic field attended, including representatives from many of the chiropractic education institutions throughout the country including Life University (Atlanta, GA), Logan University (Chesterfield, MO), and Parker University (Dallas, TX). Life West was represented by President, Dr. Ron Oberstein, and Executive Vice President, Dr. Marilyn Al-Hassan, AES Campus Director, Dr. Jennifer Howard, AES Clinical Director, Dr. Jessica Rivera, and Jesse Black from the AES Admissions Team. Representing the Life West Board of Regents were Chairperson, Dr. Jimmy Nanda, along with Drs. Steven Silk and Niraj Patel.
Established in 1976, Life Chiropractic College West has been a pioneer in chiropractic education for over four decades, with a mission to empower students with the knowledge and skills needed to provide exceptional patient care as Doctors of Chiropractic. The decision to establish a second campus reflects the college’s dedication to meeting the increasing demand for chiropractic services and providing greater accessibility to prospective students in the Midwest.
“We are excited to open our doors in Bellevue, Nebraska, and extend the reach of Life Chiropractic College West to the Midwest. This expansion allows us to bring our unique, clinically-inspired chiropractic education to Nebraska and contribute to the development of healthcare professionals dedicated to enhancing the well-being of individuals and communities,” said Dr. Ron Oberstein, President of Life Chiropractic College West.
Rusty Hike, Bellevue’s Mayor, shared how he had visited his chiropractor prior to the event, before more officially welcoming Life West to the Bellevue community. “The town is growing. The university is growing. So, you’re in a good place and this is going to be a great partnership. Welcome and we’re so glad to have you here”, said the Bellevue Mayor.
The new campus at Bellevue University will offer the same high-quality education that has defined Life Chiropractic College West for years. Students can expect a hands-on, clinically-inspired curriculum, experienced faculty members, and state-of-the-art facilities including the Life West Chiropractic Technology Training Center. The expansion also presents an opportunity for collaboration with Bellevue University, including an articulation agreement that allows Bellevue University students to shorten the timeline of their overall education by applying their first year of doctoral-level studies towards their senior year of undergraduate work. This agreement can shorten the combined graduation timeline by a year and, as such, provides an opportunity for students to realize a tuition savings. In addition, the networking opportunities and exceptional campus facilities are available to enrich the experience for all Life West-Bellevue students.
The grand opening ceremony concluded with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and celebratory reception. Attendees had the chance to meet faculty members, learn about the curriculum, and explore the campus facilities.
