Life Chiropractic College West Creating a brighter Future
A great way to start a new year is with a new edition of Lifestyles. In this issue, we touch on different facets of Life West, from the classroom to the Health Center, students to faculty, and what Life West is doing around the world. Take the time to learn about the “Dream Team” (page 20) that is helping to reshape Life West. I also want to acknowledge the Life West Donor Roll (page 15). Our donors not only see the vision for the future of Life West, but they support it through their hearts and bank accounts. 2017 proved to be a huge growth year for gifts, with increasing donations and many new doctors joining our President’s Circle. That is Lasting Purpose in action — giving from one’s abundance!!
The Life West story is reaching the far corners of the globe, from San Francisco to India, China to the South Pacific, and throughout North America and Europe. Our graduates are touching the lives of people in places that chiropractic has never been. We are setting the stage to bring long overdue changes to healthcare, while serving from a loving and caring atmosphere.
In higher education, many major changes are taking place to keep up with technology and learning styles. The new generation of students are evolving at the fastest pace ever witnessed in educational history. Life West is committed to transformational innovation — taking the lead in re-envisioning how we graduate the best chiropractors in the world. We are currently in the process of building an active learning ecosystem, with our students at the core of everything we do. This means ensuring that every student’s clinical experience is enhanced through time, repetition and energy, with the academic experience as the support system for their clinical training.
To fulfill our vision of “Creating a Brighter Future For Humanity,” Life West recognizes the critical role of detecting, analyzing and correcting vertebral subluxations, and eliminating its devastating effect on the human species. We understand what it takes to graduate great chiropractors, and we will continue to lead the profession in the educational arena with an emphasis on the Science, Philosophy and Art of Chiropractic.

When I think of the great changes chiropractic can and will make on the world, I know it will take a team effort to actualize this. It makes me think of the African word “ubuntu”, which means: I AM BECAUSE WE ARE.
