Talking with a 64-year chiropractic legend, Dr. D.D. Humber

Since his graduation from Palmer in 1956, Dr. D.D. Humber has worked tirelessly to advance the chiropractic profession. His efforts include helping Dr. Sid Williams start Life Chiropractic College in Georgia and participating in the first Dynamic Essentials meetings. In this interview with Dr. Ron Oberstein, Dr. Humber discusses his 64-year chiropractic career, including his family’s accomplishments, his relationship with Dr. Williams, and stories from both Life Chiropractic College’s and Life West’s early years.

Dr. Humber’s career includes stints as president of the International Chiropractors Association and Executive Vice President at Life University. He has been named “Chiropractor of the Year” by the Georgia Chiropractic Association and the Georgia Chiropractic Council.

Dr. Oberstein is a 1981 graduate of Life Chiropractic College in Marietta, Georgia, and has had private practices in the Boston and San Diego areas. Dr. Oberstein and his wife of 32 years, Dr. Mary Oberstein, together have served thousands of people with chiropractic care, and constantly travel spreading the chiropractic message to the corners of the globe. The Obersteins have three daughters, Lauren, Morgan and Sydney, and all three are practicing chiropractors.
