Life West Appoints Dr. Monica Smith as Research Director

Life Chiropractic College West is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Monica Smith as their new Research Director.

Dr. Smith received her DC degree from Logan College in 1986 and her Ph.D in Health Services Research from the St. Louis University School of Public Health in 1998. She was a research fellow at the University of California San Francisco from 2005-2010; where she received advanced specialized training in health policy and health economics.

With over 25 years of experience working in various research capacities, Dr. Smith has held research career appointments as Research Scientist at The Department of Veteran Affairs, Associate Professor at the Palmer Center for Chiropractic Research, and Research Associate and Analyst at The St. Louis University School of Medicine. She published over 45 reports and articles and has made over 60 scientific, academic and health policy presentations.

Our research effort is focused on the nervous system, quality of life and pediatrics – all of which are familiar territory for Dr. Smith.
