SOT pioneer Rosen set to speak at The WAVE

Martin Rosen, DC

Each year, Life West’s The WAVE welcomes a slew of guest speakers to the stage. Each brings a compelling story to tell, life experiences to share and techniques and strategies that help to propel chiropractic further into the limelight in an endeavor to help all humankind.

The theme of The WAVE 2019 is, “The Science, Philosophy and Art of Chiropractic: The Salutogenic Model.” Fitting that theme perfectly is Martin Rosen, DC, who will dissect how to balance the parts of that triad in his address to WAVE attendees.

Since 1982, Dr. Rosen, a 1981 summa cum laude graduate of Life Chiropractic College, has managed a successful practice that specializes in family-centered chiropractic health care, pediatrics, craniopathy and creating positive lifestyle support. His Wellesley, Mass., practice is centered on a goal to meet each person as an individual and to give them the opportunity to learn about, understand and participate in their chiropractic care.

A firm believer and follower of the work of Major DeJarnette, DC, the founder of SOT® — a diverse, specialized and flexible technique based on the removal of spinal and cranial dysfunction/subluxations and chronic spinal neurophysiological imbalances that affect the overall function of the nervous system, allowing for the safe adjustments of anyone from infants to the elderly — Dr. Rosen is dedicated to giving chiropractors the tools and skills necessary to take care of children and to inspire them to expand this branch of chiropractic. For the past 36 years, he has traveled the country and the world, teaching and inspiring countless chiropractors and chiropractic students about pediatrics, craniopathy, SOT, practice management and chiropractic philosophy.

As the President Emeritus of the Sacro Occipital Technique® (SOT®) Organization, a Sacro Occipital Technique® practitioner (SOT® practitioner), a certified Craniopath, an SOT® and ICPA instructor, a consulting member of the Committee for Chiropractic Practice, and an editorial board member for The Journal of Pediatric, Maternal & Family Health – Chiropractic, Dr. Rosen is at the forefront of chiropractic pediatrics, and specifically, pediatric craniopathy. He has compiled hundreds of hours of presentations on chiropractic technique, research and evidence-based protocol and has written multiple books and research studies, including:

  • The Pediatric Participant Guide for SOT®,
  • The Pediatric SOT® Spinal Adjusting Manual
  • The SOT® Pediatric Cranial Adjusting Manual
  • Pediatric Chiropractic Care
  • “Sacro Occipital Technique®” chapter on pediatric adjusting, Chiropractic Pediatrics, 2nd Edition

Dr. Rosen has devoted his life to the pursuit of excellence in the art and science of chiropractic, and as such, we encourage you to join us for his address at The WAVE 2019. This year’s conference is scheduled for August 16-18 at the Oakland Marriott City Center, and if you haven’t registered yet, you can do so here.
