WAVE 20: Dr. Ian Davis-Tremayne on changing lives with chiropractic

Dr. Ian Davis-Tremayne

SPEAKER: Dr. Ian Davis-Tremayne

TRACK: Philosophy

Dr. Tremayne is co-founder of The Upper Cervical Revolution, a Knee Chest Upper Cervical program that teaches “how to make the proper correction to allow INNATE to make the perfect adjustment, how to take and analyze X-rays the proper way as BJ Palmer intended, and how to perform a proper scan and analyze in order to know WHEN and WHEN NOT to make that correction,” according to his website. He travels around the world to train chiropractors and chiropractic students to be the next generation of leaders in the Upper Cervical technique. He says he also believes health care is a right, not a privilege, so every year he organizes service trips to give chiropractic care to those who are less fortunate.

About Dr. Tremayne: Dr. Tremayne graduated with honors from Life Chiropractic College West, and he has more than 200 hours of advanced post-graduate Upper Cervical technique training, making him one of about 1,200 Upper Cervical Specific Chiropractors globally. He also has a bachelor’s degree in Health and Social Change, and he has post-graduate training and work in Neurology, Pain Disorders, Family Wellness, Pediatrics, and Pre/Post Natal Care that specializes in the Webster In-Utero Constraint Technique. He is the owner and founder of the Upper Cervical Chiropractic of Marin (UCCM) clinic, where he has treated thousands of patients. “We believe in treating the cause, not the symptom,” the clinic website states. His experience in practice and teaching is extensive: “He realizes that the best way to touch the world is through the hands of his students,” UCCM states.

WAVE 20: This year at the WAVE, Dr. Tremayne will lean into the philosophy of chiropractic, and discuss how to improve one’s mindset to better treat patients. He will discuss the importance of being objective, and how that differs from being subjective. He will explain why the goal of chiropractic is not to adjust and emphasize how to use knowledge instead of assumptions. He will also talk about how to work on hypermobile joints and the challenges they pose. Along with explaining which tools to use, such as heart-rate variability, leg-check systems and thermography, he will also delve deep into the innate and the effects of interference.
