The WAVE, Life Chiropractic College West’s annual chiropractic conference, features educational seminars, continuing education opportunities, lively entertainment and motivational keynote addresses by well-known celebrities, athletes and achievers, as well as professors and doctors highly regarded in their field.
This year is no exception.
Dr. Dan Murphy speaks at The WAVE 2018 at the Oakland Marriott City Center.
Scheduled for Aug. 16-18, The WAVE 2019 promises to be enlightening and informative. Included in the lineup are speakers from the Life West faculty, notably returning speaker Dan Murphy, DC, who has served as part-time undergraduate faculty member at Life West since 1982, and currently teaches classes to seniors on the Management of Spinal Disorders.
As a 1978 magna cum laude graduate from Western States Chiropractic College, and a Diplomat in Chiropractic Orthopedics since 1986, Dr. Murphy has more than 34 years of practice experience. Throughout his career, he has been a contributing author to many books, including “Motor Vehicle Collision Injuries and Pediatric Chiropractic,” and has more than 80 pieces published in the American Journal of Clinical Chiropractic.
Dr. Murphy has also been the recipient of the International Chiropractors Association of California’s 1987, 1991 and 1995 Post-Graduate Educator of the Year awards, The Carl S. Cleveland, Jr., Educator of the Year award in 1997, and the Chiropractor of the Year and Pediatric Chiropractor of the Year awards by Chiropractic Pediatric University. In 2003, Dr. Murphy was also awarded Chiropractor of the Year by the prestigious Chiropractic Biophysics. From 2003-2009, Dr. Murphy served as Vice President of the International Chiropractors Association, and he was honored by the ICA as the May 2009-2010 Chiropractor of the Year.
With a mission to offer the chiropractic profession the highest quality in whiplash education and to train doctors in the bulletproof management of personal injury cases with both documentation and treatment, Murphy is determined to educate doctors about the scientific validation of the vertebral subluxation and its relationship to structure and function mediated through the nervous system.
At The WAVE 2019, Dr. Murphy will be a keynote speaker and speak on “The Chiropractic Adjustment and the Innate Basis of the Subluxation.” In his address, audiences will gain a working knowledge of the biological evolutionary reason for the existence of the subluxation and the use of chiropractic adjustment through an understanding of human evolution that explains the biological basis of the chiropractic subluxation with hypotheses that logically argue why all humans should be checked for subluxations and adjusted as needed. Dr. Murphy’s speech will also explain why chiropractic care should be maintained throughout life.
